$32.42 - $50.25 Hourly

$67,432 - $104,519 Annually

Why does the job exist?

Manage the administration of Human Resources Transactions, Classification Actions, Compensation Actions, Recruitment, Payroll, Labor Management, Unemployment claims, EEOC complaints, Worker's Compensation and Benefits while providing ongoing guidance and consultation to all levels of Public Health Division management.

 

How does it get done?

This position will directly supervise the Human Resource Staff within the Program Support Bureau of the Public Health Division and will provide management and oversight to the Public Health Division's Human Resources operations which supports approximately 800+ FTE and ten (10) Human Resource support personnel in the Regions and Bureaus within the Public Health Division.

 

Who are the customers?

All Public Health Division staff including management/supervision and HR Field Support.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in any related field and five (5) years of experience in human resource operations; recruitment, selection, payroll, compensation, and benefits administration and/or occupational analysis. One (1) year of supervisory experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of this classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field andor direct experience in this occupation totaling nine (9) years, to include one (1) year of supervisory experience, may substitute for the required education and experience.

 

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

 

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required. Some occasional travel is required for meetings and conferences.
