Information Technology Associate

Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Information Technology Associate duties will include end-user support and completing support tickets for the Salesforce application, as well as collaborating with the Information Security team to execute guidelines for technology governance and process improvement. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to meet priority deadlines, as well as maintaining high customer satisfaction.

This position is eligible to work a hybrid telework schedule. The physical reporting location for this position sits on top of a hill with a view of Folsom Lake, and is close to historic Folsom, eateries, shopping, and walking trails, and offers free parking! This position is not located inside of a prison.

STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATION

When applying to this position applicants are required to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ). The SOQ has specific instructions, to be considered the SOQ must conform to the instructions and address the specific questions below.

Your SOQ should be no longer than 2 pages, type-written, with your full name and Job Control in the upper left-hand corner.   1. Describe your knowledge and / or experience as an Administrator for Salesforce, particularly with a government agency.
  2. Describe the most challenging technical project you’ve participated in or have led, preferably in Salesforce. Please include how the solution was developed and what other resources (people or tools) were involved to successfully deploy the product.
  3. Describe your knowledge and / or experience of information security. Have you assessed system vulnerabilities and proposing risk mitigation strategies? If so, please explain.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

  • Knowledge of the Salesforce application and System Administrator duties.
  • Strong communication skills. Experienced in training and guiding users and responding quickly to support tickets.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiar with debugging and troubleshooting issues.
  • Experience with technology governance and security process improvement. 
  • Experience in data collection and management, generally and within Salesforce.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, communicating effectively between stakeholders, to present complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Advanced education
