Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the supply chain processes, including procurement, order fulfillment, inventory management, shipping, and delivery. This role ensures that goods are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Management:

  • Process purchase orders and sales orders accurately.
  • Confirm order details, including quantities, pricing, and delivery timelines with suppliers and customers.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

Shipping and Delivery Coordination:

  • Arrange transportation for goods, including domestic and international shipments.
  • Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery to customers or distribution centers.
  • Address any delays, damages, or discrepancies in shipments.

Supplier and Vendor Relations:

  • Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders and manage delivery schedules.
  • Negotiate shipping rates and terms with logistics providers.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Prepare and manage shipping documents, invoices, and customs declarations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for transportation and import/export.

Problem Solving:

  • Resolve logistical issues promptly, including delays, damaged goods, or inventory discrepancies.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Maintain detailed records of inventory movements, shipments, and costs.
  • Generate reports on logistics performance, costs, and efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
    • Knowledge of import/export regulations and shipping procedures is a plus.
