Technical Theatre Supervisor

Glenbrook North High School is seeking a Technical Theatre Supervisor for the 2025-2026 school year.

The Technical Theatre Supervisor, under the general supervision of the assistant principal of student activities, provides expertise, and manages and coordinates technical elements of stage productions and general auditorium usage throughout the year. This individual provides leadership and management of the performing arts spaces and is responsible for working with student crew members, internal staff, external renters, and overall safety and upkeep of the facility.  This position requires periodic flexibility of work hours based on building needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelors in a related field is preferred.
  2. Advanced degrees or certifications in a related field are preferred.
  3. Five (5) years of related experience is preferred.
  4. Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise, which includes, but is not limited to, set, sound, and light design, and properties/storage.
  5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
