Geotechnical Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct geotechnical evaluations, analyze lab data, and prepare reports for infrastructure projects.
  • Provide recommendations for soil improvements, deep and shallow foundations, and site preparations.
  • Inspect construction of subsurface structures (e.g., piles, drilled shafts).
  • Assist in instrumentation installation and data monitoring.
  • Market geotechnical consulting services and prepare cost proposals.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and testing schedules.
  • Perform construction materials testing, including concrete and soil density tests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (required).
  • Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
