Structural Engineer
TRC Worldwide Engineering is an internationally recognized and multidisciplinary firm with 15 locations across the U.S. and locations in India, and now expanding operations in San Juan, Puerto Rico!
We are seeking structural engineers to manage structural projects from commercial office buildings, multi-story residential developments, multi-story storage buildings, parking decks, public sector buildings, and other similar types of construction.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to
- Design of a wide variety of building structures utilizing concrete, steel, masonry, and wood construction in medium- and high-rise building construction types.
- Oversee construction administration activities on projects, including RFI responses and submittal reviews, and attend site visits when required.
- Provide structural design knowledge and expertise to project.
- Work with clients and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are being met throughout the project life.
- Collaborate with engineering and drafting teams, and collaboratively work with those teams to meet project completion goals.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers to share professional knowledge and to balance work among resources across different offices.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. Civil Engineering
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills are essential for the success of this position
- Must exhibit a high-level of professionalism, integrity, and be willing and able to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in representing TRC
- Strong organizational skills with high level of attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Experience working collaboratively within a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to excel under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Must be able to adapt to changing and emerging customer needs
- Experience in design using engineering software such as ETABS, RISA, SAFE, STAAD, RAM SS, ADAPT, EnerCalc.
- Experience in Autocad and Revit drafting is a plus
