Staff Accountant

The Asia Group, LLC is now accepting applications for a staff accountant to join our Washington, D.C. office.

The Asia Group seeks to hire a staff accountant to provide financial support for the firm, specifically the Accounting Manager and Controller. The accountant will coordinate closely among our staff and senior advisors. 

 

Our firm operates on a 5-day in-office schedule, with remote benefits on an as-needed basis. The nature of the Staff Accountant role requires maximum in-person attendance.

 

Candidates must have a BS in Accounting or equivalent 4-year degree. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience providing administrative support and managing multiple competing priorities as well as strong attention to detail and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage and reconcile company credit card and travel transactions
  • Record accounts receivable/accounts payable transactions;
  • Reconcile monthly cash transfers and bank accounts;
  • Record bi-monthly payroll; and,
  • Record and reconcile general ledger entries.
  • Other special projects and duties as assigned according to the needs of the firm.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • College degree (BS);
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel and Outlook;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service;
  • Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and multi-task;
  • Self-starter and ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; and,
  • Strong and positive interpersonal and teamwork skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.

 

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and are expected to work in-person at the TAG DC office five days per week. TAG provides competitive benefits including premium health insurance, generous paid time off, 401k matching, and commuter allowances with regular training opportunities available to its employees. For this role, TAG offers a salary of $68,000-$92,000 per year, based on experience.
