Job Description

MarCom Coordinator

FTE: 40 hours/week

LocationOn-site (San Jose)

 

PI is seeking detail- and process-oriented marketing communications coordinators to support a broad range of Marketing Communications activities ranging from events, creative, social media and content development to lead generation, digital asset management, budgeting and the web site.  This role leans slightly more towards MarCom operations side, but has room for growth in many directions.  You’ll be reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications.

Responsibilities include:

Budget/Finance Support

  • Process vendor contracts, purchase requests, invoices, monthly accruals

Digital Asset Management tool (Aprimo) Support

  • Clean up asset types/sub-types and status (completed / published)
  • Add meta tags
  • Draft monthly tips / what’s new newsletter

Compiling reports for monthly metrics, product launches, events

Own ordering / inventory / shipping of promotional giveaways, shirts, VIP gifts, banners

Business wire postings/press release formatting and translations

Working with graphic design firm to edit / create digital assets such as product flyers, PR images, board and chip images

Event/trade show support as needed

Social media support

  • Draft weekly posts, upload to Oktopost for review

Website updates (training provided)

  • Content updates in multiple languages
  • Fix quality issues (broken links, typos)
  • Add meta tags to key pages
  • Small, manual updates in all five languages.
  • Document reversion uploads – data sheets, DERs, application notes, flyers, etc
  • Distributor Contact changes
  • Translations Uploads – videos, blogs, documents, etc.
  • Managing URLs – create short URLs and QR Codes for printed materials like trade show demo posters and design/kit packaging

Content translation through Opal

Lead generation program support working in Marketo (training provided)

  • Campaign creation from templates (new process)
  • Maintain data cleanliness and naming conventions
  • Archive old campaigns
  • Upload event leads

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, PR, journalism, English 
  • Travel requirement - 10% - 20% as required for major events. 
  • 1 to 3+ years of marketing communications, event management, corporate communications or public relations experience. Preferably in the B2B tech industry  
  • Excellent organizational, budget management and multi-tasking skills. 
  • Excellent English grammar. Knowledge of AP Style. 
  • Excellent skills in MS Office Suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, MS Teams); Adobe Creative Suite, Docusign. 
  • Self-motivated, organized and responsive. Manage workload and priorities effectively. Work well under deadlines. Knows how to prioritize, keep projects running smoothly and manage the expectations. Communicate project status/updates proactively. 
  • Excellent attention to detail, including strong proofreading capabilities and interest in achieving the highest quality deliverables and outcomes possible. 
  • Strong written communication skills. Excellent grammar. Quick study of brand/trademark guidelines. Ability to write and edit with excellence and audience sensitivity across a wide range of formats.
