Housekeeping Manager

The Housekeeping Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the cleanliness and overall presentation of the facility and guest rooms. This position is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping staff, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, generating the organization and storage of supplies/linens, maintaining inventory, and implementing efficient housekeeping practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in management, hospitality, and housekeeping.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimize workflow.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Address guest complaints and requests promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall operations.
  • Maintain records of housekeeping activities, including staff schedules and supply usage.

Experience

  • Proven experience in housekeeping management within a hospitality or hotel environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while promoting a positive work environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with guests and staff professionally.
