Middle School World Language Teacher (Latin +) Job Description
St. Timothy’s School, an Episcopal preparatory school in Raleigh, NC, with approximately 565 students in grades pre-K to 8, anticipates an opening for a middle school world language teacher for the 2025-26 academic year.

A St. Timothy’s Middle School Teacher will:

- Create a supportive and caring classroom environment in which students can learn and interact positively with one another.

- Collaborate with colleagues, particularly in the development of grade-level projects and cross-curricular opportunities as well as vertical curriculum adjustment and development.
- Communicate with parents and families about student growth, school events, and classroom activities.
- Demonstrate a commitment to professional development, staying current on research in education and on child development.
- Recognize and support the growth of students and colleagues.
- Participate in the development of school-wide goals and work towards their achievement.
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate/relevant educational field.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Be able to work collegially with multiple constituencies.
The most competitive candidates will meet the following criteria:
- Possess a master’s degree in an appropriate/relevant educational field.
- Have at least 3-5 years of prior teaching experience in the subject for which he/she is being considered.
