Teacher Mandarin Immersion (Gavilan Peak)

Duties: Teach elementary students in core subject areas of math and science in a Mandarin language classroom according to school policies and State standards. Develop interactive instructional programs to engage students in learning process. Update course materials based on changing curriculum plan. Maintain student attendance and academic records. Monitor student academic performance, evaluate student learning according to District and State metrics, and provide feedback to improve learning. Communicate professionally with parents regarding their children's performance. Participate in staff meetings, conferences, workshops, school committees and team teaching.

Requirements:  Any Bachelor’s degree. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Possess Arizona Department of Education Teaching Certificate with Mandarin as an approved area.
