Delivery Driver - Head of Distribution Hub

New California Coffee Essentials is a specialty distributor serving independently owned coffee shops. We consolidate industry-leading coffee shop essentials like milk alternatives, teas, syrups, and sauces into one catalog, making it easier for our partners to get the best products with great delivery rates. Unlike large, impersonal distributors, we prioritize strong relationships with quality service—something that sets us apart.
We currently serve nearly 50 coffee shops in Charleston, SC and Wilmington, NC. We are expanding further into North Carolina and are looking for an individual to help establish and manage our distribution hub in the Research Triangle. This role is ideal for a college student looking for extra income with a real opportunity to grow post-graduation.

The Role
This is more than just a delivery job. You will be the operational lead for our distribution in the Research Triangle, ensuring coffee shops get their products on time and managing freight shipments. You’ll have the opportunity to strategize with us as we grow in this market and prepare for future expansions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver orders to local coffee shops twice per week (Tuesday & Friday).
- Receive freight shipments at our warehouse unit three times per month.
- Manage your schedule—pick up products the night before or the morning of deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with us regarding schedules, deliveries, and any issues that arise.
- Engage with coffee shop owners, managers and employees—build relationships that strengthen our presence in the market.
- Strategize for growth—your insights and ideas can help shape how we establish our presence in the area.
How We Work
- Orders will be provided by 5 PM the evening before.
- You can pick up and load your vehicle the night before or the morning of.
- Deliveries start early—ideally first stop at 6:30 AM to avoid traffic and ensure coffee shops are stocked.
- We pay every Friday after the last delivery of the week.
- Freight receiving days are flexible—we’ll coordinate a time that works best for you.
