Overview: The Faith and Justice Teacher is a key position in our Faith Formation
programming to influence the experiences of children in the congregation. The
Faith and Justice Teacher works with the pastor and church leaders to teach our
children.
Terms of Employment:
This is a part-time – 4-5 hours per week, Hourly (2025 - $25/hour)
Reporting To: Sr. Pastor
Direct Reports: None
Responsibilities:
- Be present every Sunday to teach an intergenerational class
- Coordinate Sunday School volunteers to insure the presence of a second
adult present every week - Make adjustments to curriculum as needed
- Coordinate integration of children into worship as needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Loving, creative and enthusiastic personal approach with faith commitment
- Progressive faith perspective
- Familiarity with how a church works is a plus
- Strong team player with the rest of the staff and congregation
- Committed to the church’s vision, leadership, and people
- Dependable, responsible, self-motivated and creative
- Pass criminal background check
