
Behavior Technician
The BT provides direct therapeutic support for children primarily ages 18 months and up with developmental delays under the direction of a speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, BCBA, and the Behavior Therapy Program Supervisor, and works in a team environment with therapists, other paraprofessionals, and parents. The individual must show that she/he has an AA degree or two years of study a post-secondary degree, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Delivers the treatment protocol as directed by the supervisor.
- Collects and enters data at each session.
- Implements feedback delivered during live supervision by the supervisor and from written evaluations.
- Develops and maintains appropriate relationships with clients and their families.
- Provides support and assistance to parents, as directed by supervisor.
- Expresses enthusiasm during activities.
- Ensures client safety.
- Provides direct services to clients and their families in the clinic, the client’s home, and/or community.
- Creates opportunities to address targeted goals, under the direct supervision of a clinical supervisor.
