Duration: 3 months + extensions (thru 2/28/2026) - with option to convert to Full-time employee (FTE)
Expenses: A per diem will be available for any travel outside a 50-mile radius
Onsite/Remote: 100% Onsite in DFW
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hours EST, some evenings and weekends as required
Equipment: Will provide equipment to perform the work
Dress code: Polo shirt and khakis/chinos OR medical scrubs (depending on where the work is being performed)
Onboarding Requirements: Background check, 10 panel drug screen, and immunizations (TB, Hep B, MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Flu and Covid)
The Biomed Equipment Technology (BMET) team is looking for a Biomed Equipment Technician to help with Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) primarily for infusion pumps, but potentially for other devices as their skills and the project both permit. This role involves locating and identifying pumps throughout the hospital that are due for PM, bringing them to the central supply office, working to clean pumps, replace the batteries, and perform the maintenance, and tag/note any pumps requiring CE or advanced service beyond routine maintenance. If the individual has experience with other types of biomedical equipment, they may be assigned to help with other devices as needed.
Initial training will be provided. Some nights, weekends, and travel may be required. Must be comfortable working in a hospital setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Biomed/BMET experience
CBET or other BMET certification
Plum 360 (Hospira/Abbott) Infusion Pump experience
Bachelor or associate’s degree (in Biomed, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT or Allied Health field)
