Middle School Creative Writing Tutor

We are seeking a passionate and experienced part-time Middle School Creative Writing Tutor to inspire and guide 8th grade students in developing their writing skills. This flexible, part-time role involves providing structured yet engaging lessons, helping students refine their storytelling abilities, strengthen their writing mechanics, and cultivate their unique voices. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging creative writing lessons tailored to 8th-grade students.
• Provide personalized feedback on students’ writing, focusing on clarity, structure, and creativity.
• Guide students through various writing exercises, including narrative, poetry, and personal essays.
• Help students build strong grammar, vocabulary, and storytelling techniques.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and confidence.
• Meet with students and parents to discuss progress and set writing goals.
• Maintain open and consistent communication to ensure students stay motivated and engaged.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in English, Creative Writing, Education, or a related field).
• Experience teaching or tutoring middle school students in writing.
• Strong ability to provide detailed, constructive feedback on student work.
• Passion for mentoring young writers and fostering a love of storytelling.
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that balance structure with creative freedom.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with students and parents.
