Job Description

A Pui Tak Christian School teacher will be part of a team working to equip young learners to become future leaders for God’s Kingdom. Our teachers take responsibility for the high academic achievement and character development of every child in their classroom. Teachers are responsible for guiding and assisting students in their entire learning experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrates outstanding classroom management that relies on positive reinforcement with high expectations and clear and consistent classroom systems and procedures.
• The teacher is responsible for writing and implementing lessons that are engaging and effective according to student data.
• Creates and maintains positive and collaborative relationships with families with consistent communication.
• Assesses and evaluates student growth. Makes a plan on a classwide, group wide, and individual basis in response to student data.
• Demonstrates dedication and determination to student growth and measurable success.
•  Consistently communicates with families via strong verbal/written communication.
• Able to identify problems and find solutions.
• Able to adapt to a less-than-ideal classroom environment.

 Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education
• Teaching experience in an urban school setting (preferred)
• Valid IL State Certification
