Overview:
We are seeking a talented Architectural Drafter specializing in outdoor projects to join our team. This candidate will play a key role in the creation of architectural drawings, plans, and documentation for our projects. You will work closely with sales, clients, designers, engineers and architects to ensure designs meet our brand standards, functional requirements, and local building codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting & Design Support: Produce detailed architectural drawings, elevations, and sections based on design concepts, site surveys, and client specifications.
- Coordination & Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers and designers to ensure all technical and design requirements are met.
- Building Code & Zoning Compliance: Research and apply local building codes, zoning laws, and regulations to ensure compliance in all designs.
- Documentation & Presentation: Prepare clear, accurate, and organized architectural documentation, including construction drawings, redlines, revisions, and as-built drawings.
- CAD Management: Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software to create precise, editable, and version-controlled drafting files. Maintain and update drawing templates and libraries.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Drafting, Architecture, or related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in architectural drafting, with a focus on residential and outdoor projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar). Experience with 3D modeling and rendering is a plus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of local building codes.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to create accurate technical drawings while adhering to established standards.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and clients.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges related to site constraints, construction methods, and building codes.
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
- Experience in Landscape Architecture: Previous experience in residential landscape architecture is highly desirable.
- Project Management: Experience prioritizing projects and meeting deadlines.
