Next-Gen Pastor: (1st

-12th Grade)

Lincoln Heights Christian Church

Position Overview:

Provide executive leadership and direction to all ministries pertaining to our Kids-(1st through 5th

grade) and Student Ministries-(6th through 12th grade), helping to create an environment where Kids

and Students are being led to Jesus, loved into Community, and launched into Making a Difference.

This is a pastoring role that will provide CARE for our kids/students & their families, and COACHING

for our volunteers on how to LEAD, LOVE, & LAUNCH.

Align each of the responsibilities noted below with our existing & future vision, strategic ministry plan,

goals, and requirements.

Position Values:

This person must love Jesus, love Kids/Students, and must not only be a “people-person” who is

creative and fun, but also someone who knows how to empower volunteers. This person must have a

“servant’s heart” and be a team player. Regarding education and experience, this person must at

least; (1) have a completed bachelor’s degree, and (2) have 5 years of working with Kids and/or

Students in a preferably paid or volunteer capacity. This person must also have administrative gifts

and have a willingness to learn and/or have a basic understanding of how to use programs like

(Planning Center, Pro Presenter, Adobe, and E.O.S.).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

(1) Connecting…

a. our elementary Kids & Students-(1st

-12th grade)-to Jesus & to one another within community.

b. our families with elementary Kids & Students to Jesus & to one another within community.

c. our local schools to Jesus. (Identify 2 local schools to “connect” with)

(2) Communicating…

a. to your supervisor regarding Kids & Student ministries updates & calendar events.

b. to our families with Kids & Students, regarding ministry updates & calendar events.

c. to our Kids & Students ministries volunteers, regarding ministry updates & calendar events.

(3) Coaching…

a. by Identifying, Recruiting, Training and Releasing Kids & Student ministries volunteers to Lead

kids/students to Jesus, Love them into Community, and Launch them into Making a Difference.

b. by encouraging families with Kids & Students to raise their Kids/Students to love Jesus. (We

want to “come along side” our families & help them in this endeavor…not take over for them).

Lincoln Heights Christian Church

Type of Position: A Full-time “At-Will” Employee—(Reference “Employee Handbook” for more info).

Hours Required for Position: 40 hours a week. (Our workweek is Sunday through Thursday).

• Expected to work most of your hours on campus/in the office.

• However, one of our team values is to budget time to spend with people outside of the office.

• Expected to be a part of a Life Group. (These hours will not count as work-hours).

• Expected to live within a 10-mile radius of the church, for the purpose of connecting with

schools and kids/students, families, & volunteers who live within this community.

Starting Salary: $60,000 yearly salary, before taxes, paid bi-monthly. (A salaried employee).

Benefits: Yes-(1) Health Insurance Reimbursement, and (2) Retirement w/Vesting Options.

Housing Allowance: Yes-(with evidence or approval of being Ordained or Commissioned).

Paid Sick Days: Yes-(after a 90-day introductory period, 5 days per year, no carry over, and there is

no value for any unused sick days).

Paid Personal Days: Yes-(after a 90-day introductory period, 4 days per year, no carry over, and

there is no value for any unused sick days).

Paid Vacation Days: Yes-(after a 90-day introductory period, 10 days per year, no carry over, and

there is no value for any unused sick days).

Days Off: 2 days— (Fridays & Saturdays). There will be times, because of special events when we

work on Fridays & Saturdays, but COMP time will be given to the team when this happens.

Evaluation: Subject to a review after the first 90 days & at the end of every fiscal year.
