Early Intervention Teacher Assistant
World Of Words (WOW) Early Intervention Services is looking for an Early intervention (EI) Teacher Assistant to help run our group classes at our Early Learning Center in San Francisco. The EI teacher assistant would be helping the Early Intervention Teachers during our 2-hour group classes. (Please see class schedule below. Please note that new classes may be added in the future.)
Current class schedule
Morning classes: Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Saturdays from 9-11am
Afternoon classes: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-5:30pm
At WOW, parents and their children under age 3 participate classes designed to help young children learn through play. Classes consist of play-based learning activities, songs, arts & crafts, and more. Our classes provide early intervention activities that target all areas of development -- communication, motor, cognition, adaptive behavior, and social-emotional development.
Job qualifications:
* Minimum requirements: 6 early childhood education (ECE), child development (CD), or early childhood special education (ECSE) college units plus High School Diploma or equivalent
* Experience working with young children preferred
* Experience working with families and/or parents preferred
* Bilingual (Spanish or Chinese) highly desirable
Other job requirements:
* Must be able to obtain Fingerprint Clearance
* Must possess or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification
