Optometry Assistant
Pacific Rims Optometry has been serving the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years! We offer comprehensive and specialty eye care services for the whole family. Our services include comprehensive eye exams and treatment of eye infections and diseases, with specialty services including Myopia Management, dry eye treatments, and fittings for scleral contacts. Our office also regularly participates in clinical research trials to advance optometric treatment options.
As someone working as an Optometry Assistant, you will be working with a collaborative, well-rounded, and multilingual team. Our ideal candidate would be someone who is a pre-optometry student or has a demonstrated interest in optometry. You would focus on assisting with regular office operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Patient pre-testing (ex. Autorefraction, Visual Field, Axial Length), and scribe for doctor
- Scheduling patient appointments, answering phone calls and emails
- Guiding patients through frame selection and consulting lens options
- Processing eyeglasses and contact lens orders with related invoices and insurance claims
- Verifying quality of arrived eyeglasses and contact lens orders
- Sanitizing office space & maintaining office stock and inventory products
- Setting up and closing exam rooms for doctors
- Maintaining HIPAA compliance
This is a full time position in-person at our West Portal office in San Francisco.
