AQC is seeking a creative minded, energetic, go getter to join our team as a Quote Developer- CAD Drafter.

As a Quote Developer, you will assist with the development of quotations on tons of unique HVAC projects. You will coordinate with sales representatives in relation to drafting, analyzing, pricing, and quoting based on project design drawings & specifications. You will be responsible for answering customer inquiries, dealing with issues, and solving problems in a positive manner to ensure a superior level of customer support and responsiveness.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per work week position. However, depending on the candidate’s availability, we are willing to offer part-time hours until you finish school.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret customer requirements, match products to customer specifications and drawings.
  • Drafting using AutoCAD and 3D Modeling Software.
  • Gathering required data from engineers and customers to allow for quote preparation & maintaining various quote databases and project plans.
  • Assists with design and layout of HVAC ducting systems.
  • Review drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Establish rapport and build relationships with outside sales reps, consulting engineers and mechanical contractors.
  • Establish an in-depth understanding of all AQC’s product lines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Quotes Department Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Drafting, Design, Engineering or Architecture or 2 years in equivalent training or experience.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk products, or other 3D Modeling software.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows & Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • High level of organizational skills, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and timeliness.
  • Capable of reading & comprehending construction drawings and identifying construction components and elements.
