Salary: $55,000 to $62,500 annually

Reports to: Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

Department: Finance

Location: Points of Light is a remote-first organization. Any U.S. location in the Eastern or Central time zone in a market with a major airport. 

Position Summary

The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis will assist with financial reporting and the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis and will interact with all levels within the organization. 

Position Functions and Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with the preparation of the annual operating budget and quarterly forecast planning processes.
  • Review operating budgets and forecasts to analyze trends affecting financial performance.
  • Produce monthly variance reporting and analysis.
  • Work comfortably within the general ledger, financial reporting, and other systems to research and analyze financial data.
  • Aid in monthly department financial review meetings with data collection and work with the Accounting Team to resolve any discrepancies in financial data.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and work with Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis and Senior Vice President, Finance and Operations to implement business process controls.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and financial reporting as needed.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: verbal and written communication that conveys with clarity and succinctness
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or education/experience equivalency
  • Minimum 3-5 years of budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting
  • Nonprofit organization experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures and perspectives and a commitment to promoting equity in all aspects of the workplace.
