Job Summary:
We are a Christian faith based Child Care Center and we are seeking both Chinese and English speaking Preschool Teacher to join our team. The applicant must be comfortable with the Christian values and philosophy of our school. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. The teacher must be passionate, dedicated, and flexible. Your responsibilities will include implementing age-appropriate curriculum, fostering social and emotional development, and promoting a love for learning.
Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the preschool curriculum- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and social interaction- Provide individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of each child- Utilize various teaching methods and materials to engage students in active learning- Foster language development, literacy skills, and math concepts through age-appropriate activities- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support each child's educational journey- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents and implementing interventions as needed- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning community

Requirements:- minimum of 12 credit unit or associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or equivalent experience)- Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt them to meet individual student needs- Proficiency in lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment techniques- Understanding of special education principles and early intervention strategies
Skills:
- Literacy education: Ability to promote language development, reading skills, and early literacy concepts.- Math: Proficiency in teaching basic math concepts appropriate for preschool-aged children.- Lesson planning: Skill in creating engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum goals.- Experience with children: Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.- Toddler care: Knowledge of the unique needs and developmental milestones of toddlers.- Special education: Understanding of special education principles and strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.- Behavior management: Ability to implement positive behavior management techniques and create a supportive classroom environment.- Early intervention: Knowledge of early intervention strategies to address developmental delays or challenges.- Childhood development: Understanding of the stages of childhood development and how to support growth in all areas.
