Direct Support Professional Requirements and Qualifications:

  • At least one year of caregiving experience (preferred)
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a high school diploma/ GED equivalent or be able to demonstrate ability to provide services according to the plan of service.
  • Provide a valid Assistance with Medications certification.
  • Provide a valid CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Provide a valid driver’s license.
  • Provide valid car insurance.
  • Provide your own reliable transportation.
  • Be able to pass a background check.
  • Be comfortable working independently and consistently make good decisions that benefit the participant.
  • Have a friendly disposition with a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Enjoy working with intellectually and physically disabled individuals to improve their quality of life.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to move and stand for prolonged periods and frequently perform physically demanding tasks.

House Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Foster and maintain a team environment.
  • Provide independent problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented attitude.
  • Train and coach both new and existing employees
  • Practice professional and personal relationships with all staff and administration to ensure a positive work environment.
  • Complete and provide weekly schedules.
  • Ensure that all shifts are filled.
  • Correct and verify employee timecards.
  • On call weeknights and rotating weekends from Friday at 5 pm, until Monday at 7 am. House Managers are expected to be available within 20 minutes for any issues.
  • Attend weekly House Manager meetings.
  • Maintain and review all monthly/weekly paperwork and documentation.
  • Complete and coordinate all housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and healthy living environment.
  • Ensure house is always stocked with proper cleaning and household supplies.
  • Oversee participant medications:
  • QA MAR daily to ensure completion by all staff.
  • Administer participant medications at scheduled times.
  • Regularly dispensing all medications and update changes into computer system
  • Re-order all medications not on monthly cycle
  • Pick up all medications delivered to the main office.
  • Ensure all participant binders are compliant and well-kept.
  • Assist participants with day-to-day responsibilities including personal care and hygiene as well as assist participants with working on programs/goals daily.
  • Grocery shop for participants as necessary
  • Schedule and provide transportation for all participant appointments and relay any changes or vital information to the Medication Manager and/or QIDP.

Salary: From $17 per hour, DOE.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • 7 am-3 pm
  • Monday to Thursday
  • On call Rotation (Every 5 weeks)

Supplemental pay types:

  • Employee Appreciation Bonus pay.
