Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly qualified Staff Accountant as a vital member of the Finance/Admin team. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Finance and work closely with project managers to implement business processes and systems that will facilitate our rapid growth and ensure compliance with internal corporate policies and external regulations/guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions with a working knowledge of GAAP and IFRS regulations.
- Process payments based on approved and properly documented invoices, ensuring the payments comply with company policies and follow proper authorization channels.
- Responsible for Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, monitoring AR, revenue recognition, and resolving any customer billing discrepancies. Coordinate with relevant parties to track revenue activities and maintain original documents systematically, which include but are not limited to service contracts, sales contracts, sales and COGS reports.
- Assist in the month-end closing process, including journal entries adjustment and reconciliation; independently reconcile the bank and general ledger accounts; identify and resolve imbalances to ensure financial accuracy.
- Assist in preparing the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements, including Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows (direct and indirect methods).
- Support yearly federal and state tax return filings and all the tax-related matters with baseline knowledge of corporate tax filings and the R&D credits.
- Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits; Implement audit recommendations and process improvements based on audit findings.
- Assist in preparing the annual and quarterly financial budgets and operating plans to project cash flows and revenues/expenses and each of the planned projects and business cooperation.
- Monitor actual cash flows against forecasts by updating the Power BI dashboard, investigating and explaining any variances. Contribute to the preparation of cash flow reports.
- Work with R&D teams to support project management in updating project progress, budget allocation, cost tracking, etc.
- Support to complete ad-hoc reports and analyses requested from the parent company and external firms: securities firms, asset appraisal companies, 401K agents, law firms, etc.
- Assist HR professionals to manage administration work in law compliance/employee benefit /hiring, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or above degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field.
- 1-2 years of hands-on accounting experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of accounting software – QuickBooks, or similar Accounting/ERP software.
- Flexible with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary collaborative team environments, with excellent communication and writing skills.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
