Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, high-quality Soccer Coach with PE teaching or coaching experience to lead fun, engaging soccer sessions for campers (ages 3–10). Outside of soccer time, you will also serve as a Lead Teacher or Assistant Teacher to support broader classroom activities and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead energetic, inclusive soccer programming during outdoor time (1:00–2:00 PM)
- Bring high-quality, structured, and age-appropriate activities to each session
- Actively work as a Lead or Assistant Teacher throughout the rest of the camp day
- Support camper engagement, transitions, safety, and daily routines
- Collaborate with the site team to maintain an organized, joyful learning environment
Compensation Breakdown
- Outdoor Soccer Time (1:00–2:00 PM): $27.50/hr (Soccer Coach Rate)
- Rest of Day (depending on the qualifications):
- --> Assistant Teacher: $17/hr
- --> Lead Teacher: $20/hr
- Optional Extended Care: $22/hr
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–4:30 PM (Thursdays until 5:30 PM)
- Camp runs June–August; must be available for at least 4 consecutive weeks
Requirements
- Physical Education (PE) teaching experience or equivalent high-quality youth coaching experience (required)
- Strong background in working with children ages 3–10
- Ability to create structured yet fun soccer sessions
- Energetic, solution-oriented, and a strong communicator
- Comfortable balancing dual roles (coach + classroom teacher)
