IT Support Specialist I

Summary of Job Duties:
The computer lab technician manages the hardware, software, and printers associated with the college’s research labs, computer lab, and conference rooms. This position will assist with the inventory and surplus of technology-related devices. Additionally, the lab technician will be expected to troubleshoot computer, software, and printer-related issues and provide solutions for repair. Exemplary customer service is an essential function of this position due to the daily one-on-one interactions with staff and faculty.
This position requires the ability to travel across campus to provide on-site technical support to various departments and facilities. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment and performing IT tasks in multiple campus locations, ensuring timely and effective support for faculty and staff.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this position, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
Preferred Requirements:
Demonstrated knowledge of the operations of personal computers and the functions of various software
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Ability to work as a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to trouble shoot technology issues
