Job Title: Farmers Market Sales Associate
Location: Long Island, New York
Job Type: Part-Time / Weekends Only
Compensation: 

  • Helper: $22/hr
  • Seller: $115/day base + commission based on sales
  • Helpers can be promoted into seller once we feel you nailed the job!

Of Tea is a modern tea brand rooted in Chinese tea tradition. We offer premium loose leaf teas and thoughtful tea blends, bringing stories of culture, place, and people into every cup. Through farmers markets, pop-ups, and community events, we invite others to slow down and savor the moment.

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Farmers Market Sales Associate to represent our brand at local markets. You’ll be the face of our booth—setting up, engaging with customers, sampling teas, and making sales. If you enjoy people, storytelling, and creating memorable experiences, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and break down booth (tent, tables, display, etc.)
  • Welcome customers and provide engaging, knowledgeable tea tastings
  • Share product details, brand story, and answer customer questions
  • Handle sales using POS system (Square, etc.)
  • Keep booth tidy, restocked, and visually appealing
  • Assist with inventory tracking and end-of-day reporting

Qualifications:

  • Outgoing, friendly, and customer-oriented
  • Comfortable working outdoors and on your feet for several hours
  • Responsible and punctual with strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift ~30 lbs (equipment and inventory)
  • Food handler’s permit (preferred, or willing to get one)
  • Passion for tea, natural products, or small business a plus!
