Mid-Level Software Developer 2025-1422

This individual will provide software development support for a government customer software Web-based GUI, which is replacing the legacy, QT-based GUI.  Development will utilize technologies appropriate for interacting with content or software running on a remote server through a Web browser.  You will perform both front-end and back-end development (full-stack development).

 

Anticipated Tasking (prior relevant experience and proficiency with the bolded software is a priority):

  • Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Python and Flask on the backend.
  • Design and implement interactive, user-focused frontend using JavaScript/TypeScript and Vue framework.
  • Build RESTful APIs and integrate them into a data visualization libraries like Apache eCharts  or AgGrid.
  • Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Experience with Containerization (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, microservice focused applications and/or front end build tools (Webpack or Vite) would be helpful.

Clearance

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

  • 5-15 years of relevant experience
  • Must be willing to work on site in Dahlgren, Virginia

BS in Computer Science or equivalent

Compensation

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

 

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $92,000 - $135,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
