Job Title: Drug and Alcohol Facilitator/Counselor/ Intern for intensive outpatient

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Drug and Alcohol Facilitator/Counselor to join our team. As a Drug and Alcohol Facilitator/Counselor, you will be responsible for providing support, guidance, and counseling to individuals struggling with substance abuse issues. Your role will involve conducting group individual sessions, ASAM, bio’s , treatment planning, and helping individuals overcome addiction and maintain a healthy, substance-free lifestyle.

Hours: Part time 20-30 hours , day and evening shifts

Compensation: depending on experience

Responsibilities:
- Conduct group therapy sessions and facilitate support groups for individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
-Take group notes and have the ability to use AZZLY and or other treatment systems.
- Educate clients on the effects of substance abuse and the importance of maintaining a sober lifestyle.
- Assist in the development and implementation of treatment programs tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay informed about the latest research, trends, and best practices in addiction counseling and treatment.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients during challenging periods.
- Serve as an advocate for clients, helping them access community resources and support networks.

Qualifications:
- Certification (RADT or CADAC licensure in substance abuse counseling (e.g., Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Licensed Addiction Counselor) is preferred.
- Proven experience in facilitating group therapy sessions and providing individual counseling to individuals with substance abuse issues.
- Strong knowledge of addiction treatment modalities, including evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
