Account Manager

Job Title: Account Manager

Reports to: Marketing Director

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid or In-Person)

Hours: 40+ hours per week

 

Job Purpose:

We are a consulting, marketing, and public affairs firm looking for a qualified Account Manager to join our team. The primary purpose of the Account Manger will be to provide project oversight for the firm’s clients and be the link between strategy and execution. 

The Account Manager gets to play an integral role in every aspect of the client project, listening in on strategy, and coordinating high level details. The Account Manager will work with a team of strategy, content, and design specialists to ensure client objectives are met and communicate day to day with the client. This is an ideal role for a detail-oriented candidate passionate about marketing and K-12 education.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provide project management oversight for the client and relevant projects, including managing software, assigning tasks and tracking progress. 
  • Ensure deadlines are met and strategy goals are communicated to team members involved in execution. 
  • Lead regular meetings with new and existing clients to stay up to date on strategic goals and ensure that client logistics are being managed and executed.
  • Regularly report progress to the Strategic Lead/Marketing Director. 
  • Seek to thoroughly understand project requirements and objectives. 
  • Collaborate with multiple team members to ensure project objectives are being met.
  • Interface day-to-day with clients in your portfolio.
  • Manage strategic and logistical objectives for the client, using the firm's project manager software. 
  • Manage client budget (hours, expenses, etc.) to ensure the team serving the client is staying within budget.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in account or project management.
  • Background in marketing (design, social media and other related items).
  • Organized and efficient.
  • Willingness to work longer daytime or weekend hours as needed to complete priorities.
  • Requirement to track hours using software made available.
  • Proficient in G-Suite, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and at least one Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (i.e., HubSpot, Salesforce, Ascend, Freshworks, Virtuous, etc.).
  • Willingness and ability to learn new software.
  • Driven and self-motivated to complete tasks that are a part of the big picture without continuous follow up.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • A good listener with an ability to communicate with people of diverse disciplines.
  • Ability to adapt and respond quickly to changing landscapes while managing multiple projects and the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
  • A sense of drive and ownership of projects and a “buck stops with me” mindset.


Salary: $55,000/year plus benefits (including health insurance and cell phone stipend)
