Upon completion of the Field Training program, officers will be placed in the wage schedule based on their years of qualified previous experience, up to the maximum at 6 years.
Top Pay: $122,106 per 2025 FOP Contract
Yearly Uniform Allowance: $950
Benefits:
Two weeks of vacation after one year. Any newly hired employee will be given a pro-rated amount (based on date of hire until December 31st of that calendar year) upon 30 days of employment.

Minimum Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship – OR – authorized to work in the U.S. under federal law – OR qualified under the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) for deferred immigration action;
Individuals who are not U.S. citizens but who are legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law or individuals against whom immigration action has been deferred by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Services under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) process, MUST also be authorized under federal Law to obtain, carry, or purchase, or otherwise possess a firearm;
Have a High School diploma or equivalent;
Possess a valid Illinois driver’s license;
Must be at least 21 years of age and under the age of 35 at the time of application (or meet the exemption set forth in the Illinois Complied Statutes 65 ILCS 5/10-2. 1-6);
No felony convictions (or any misdemeanor conviction involving moral turpitude);
